Simon Cole

Simon A. Cole is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine. His most recent book is Truth Machine: The Contentious History of DNA Fingerprinting (University of Chicago Press, 2008). He is a member of the American Judicature Society Commission on Forensic Science & Public Policy. His current interests are the sociology of forensic science and the development of criminal identification databases and biometric technologies.
