Michaela Schwentner’s work shows images of the Großglockner, based on nine minutes of compressed webcam material, initially recorded over several months. The static camera setups are accompanied by a soft whisper, obtained by transforming the images into audio data. What begins as a typical shot of a mountain panorama gradually develops into a complex visual experience, transfiguring and reimagining bellevue beyond the tourist region that has been the subject of a million photographs.
