Secret Life

"Secret Life" is the introduction to the long-term artistic laboratory project "Life matters". This film is a poetic reflection on the matter of life and its place in the Universe. "Secret Life" examines scientific discoveries and posits research about the human existance in a new context. Joanna Hoffmann combines micro and macro images, protein-modelling with solar activities and scientific figures with everyday experiences. The soundtrack uses material from the Neutrino Mediterranean Observatory, Italy and Whale & Seabird Research Station Inc. New Brunswick, Canada.
